My old sony receiver seems to have given up the ghost (permanently goes into protector mode, and it's not a short in the speaker wires or connnection to any peripherals...), and I'm looking to replace it with a used receiver. I mainly use it for music, but am starting to use it more for DVDs. I have PSB1000 front speakers, and smaller bookshelf speakers I use in the rear (no sub yet).
Long story short, I have found 2 used receivers both around the $100 range (Canadian) and am looking for advice between the two. It seems as though the Yamaha may be better quality, but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with either of these receivers. I know they are just entry level, but any help would be appreciated.
