I will try to be as detailed as possible as im pulling what little hair I have left out!
I just bought a Yamaha RX-V463 to replace my olf Yamaha TIAB setups. I am using the same speakers but needed the HDMI connections and switching available on this stand alone receiver. Here is my Issue!
I have connected to this a SA 8300HDC from TW cable, Xbox 360, Wii, and a PS3. These are all connected to my JVC 56FN97. I have connected everything correctly Cable box is using HDMI only.. PS3 is HDMI only (doubling as my DVD player) 360 using Component and Wii using Component. Each is connected INTO the Yahama using the connections specified above. Each is connected to the TV using the same OUT connections.
I have gotten it all to work perfectly with a harmony remote as well. the MAJOR issue is...
I get this weird scrambled diplay for a split second viewing any cable channels that sort of looks like for a millisecond and alien race is making a transmission to me. It is random but usually every 10 min or so. ALSO there are strange wavy green lines that outline faces and white colored object VERY faintly on all cable channels!! This is driving me insane!
Further complicating this is the fact that the CAble box was introduced new to the system as my others HD died. So in review I have added the new (same model ) HDDVR cable box and the Yamaha RX-V463. the only other thing that I did not use from my previous setup was a new Dynex 3' HDMI cable I bought at bestbuy.
My main question is what is casuing this strange scrambles and green line? The new cable box defective? the Yamaha defective? the TV defective? of could it be the cheap dynex HDMI cable? PLEASE HELP!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE!
