Hello gents,

i was looking for some headphone to buy to use with my RX-V475 when i stumbled upon multiple internet audiophile thread mentionning the headphone output impedance as being a key factor for buying the right headphone.

Before buying an external headphone amplifier i wanted to know if anyone knew what impedance the yamaha RX-V475 had.

Here is what i found in the owner's manual but i'am not sure how to read it :

Does this mean the headphone output has 8 ohm ou 470ohm ?

Sorry if this sound like a stupid question but iam not an very experimented in the audio world.

Thx alote !

Well i have contacted Yamaha customer care and the correct value is 471 OHM for the headphone output jack... this is crazy high.

Better get an external headphone amplifier with near zero 0 OHM impedance.

Thx
