Hi All,

Amazing forum you all have here!! I've searched the threads for this questions so sorry if it becomes a double post.... I was sold a Yamaha RX-V563 from Best Buy under the impression that it can power a set of outdoor speakers using Zone 2. From reading the manual I'm not sure this is possible. Can anyone assist with this?

Thanks so much

I kind of bought in on that assumption too.

The Zone 2 actually refers to the main unit controlling a secondary Yamaha Receiver in another room from one remote.

As far as controlling other speakers, it's actually Front A/B. Front A are your front main L and R speakers, Front B are the L and R in the other room or outside.

When you switch to Front B the Front A speakers turn off and the Rear L/R get louder, the center stays on and the Sub does too. The sound coming out of Front B L and R isn't as loud as Front A. So then you have to crank it up and then your main room sounds is really loud and then other room is now at a decent listening level.

Kind of sucks...

Unless there's some other way to do this Zone 2 thing.
