Hello,

some time ago I posted this message in the Plasma section of this forum because I thought there was a problem with my new Panasonic Plasma:

"I just received a new Panasonic 55GT50 last week and all seemed fine. However, I just noticed a green vertical line on the far right had side of the screen. It's about 5 pixels wide. The weird thing is that the line only shows with the format set to 'Full'. In all other formats, the line does not show.

Do you guys think this is a defect in the screen, or is it some setting?"

The cable box is connected to the receiver (Yamaha rx-v673) (HDMI in) and the TV is also connected to the receiver (HDMI out). When I connect the cable box directly to the TV, there is no green line.

Could you guys help me troubleshoot this problem? Any suggestions are welcome. Could be some settings that I am missing.

Thanks a lot.

Nobody of you guys have any idea what could be wrong? Anything I can check in the configuration of the receiver or TV?

Thanks.

Have you tried swapping the HDMI cable?

Other than that, it's possible that you have a faulty HDMI board in the receiver. Check with Yamaha Customer Support and see if it's a known issue.

I have a 673 but not seen the issue you mention. It's going back in favor of a Denon AVR-2312CI though. Two reasons...I can't get the sound I want out of it and the lack of Pandora!
