how is the dvr connected to the yamaha 2600? is it through component or hdmi and who is your cable service by? the reason i am asking is i too have the Yamaha 2600 and i have Time Warner Cable and I have my dvr connected to the 2600 by component video and i do not have the problem but i think in your case it might be the cablebox.
