I'm trying to think of an option on how to pair the YSP-2200 with a powered sub. I've got a Wharfdale Powercube 10A (from my old 5.1) which accepts both hi-level and LFE RCA. But the problem is that the YSP-2200 only has one output, which is for its passive sub.

Can anyone help advise on how I can run this setup? I was thinking of using using an hi-level to RCA converter, but not sure if it will result in any damage or a reduction in sound quality.

Any help is much appreciated.

how about using the analog audio out from the media player your using, set your sub crossover low and adjust volume to match fronts from the optical digital out

Thanks for the advice. That didn't come into mind... lol... The problem would be the amount when I switch between playback devices and the amount of cables running from each device to an RCA hub then to the sub

My initial thought would be to connect it to the soundbar then run the calibration so that the system can acknowledge a low frequency during the calibration.

thanks for the tip.. that didn't cross my mind. But the amount of analog cables running from different devices into the sub would be a mess. Just trying to find a way out which can just pair in with the soundbar. Is there a way to piggyback the sub?

Unless both subs had the same input efficiency, this may make things sound worse. Much worse as the dynamics and volume would not match as you increase/decrease volume.
