I have a DreamVision DLP projector that over the last several months has started displaying yellow spots and streaks on the video image. The spots are in the same place no matter what the source so I'm sure it is something on the lens. Does anyone know what I should use to clean the lens to get rid of these discolorations? It is starting to get annoying as there are more each week.

Thanks for the help.

drwats,

I've seen this problem before with a DreamVision DL500. I corrected it by opening up the case and simply blowing the dust off the mirrors and lenses. I found that the debris inside was causing the problem, not the dust on the front lens. FYI, it was difficult to reach most of the components. If it's really dirty inside, it might pay to have a projector shop clean it. Also be careful what you touch, optical coatings can be easy to scratch. Hope that helps you somewhat.
