YES in HD?

A friend of mine, who knows someone high up in YES, told me that he was told that YES is shooting to have Yankee games available in HD by June.


Now, who is going to carry YES-HD games is an entirely different question.

It would not surprise me if the 2004 MLB Extra Innings Package includes a few games games in HD each week similiar to the NFL Sunday Ticket approach in 2003.

i hope directv can offer it..i would be willing to pay extra for it

I wonder if that means Nets games will be in HD next year?

With the Nets being for sale, the contract with the Nets and YES may change if Steinbrenner sells his part ownership in the team. But from what it looks like, If the Yanks go HD this summer, the Nets should be HD in October/November (I'd assume).
