Yet another "what receiver should I buy thread" but please help
Hello everyone I'm new here but I frequently read through discussions for advice. I want to buy a new receiver that has pre outs, airplay, 4k pass through, and at least 7.1 channels for under $500. I know my budget is low so I have been looking at refurbished or used units. So far I found a refurbished Yamaha RX-V773 for $343 from a very well known site. Do you think I can find anything better for this price or should I just jump on this deal? The only reason I'm hesitating is because I bought a Yamaha rx-v473 6 months ago and now I'm having problems with the HDMI board so I'm weary of buying another Yamaha. Thanks for any input you may have.

Yeah thats the deal I saw but I'm skeptical of buying another Yamaha and was wondering if anything else comes close to this deal. Also Neweggs open box policy seems pretty restricted

Very restricted and a little risky. There are no 773 refurbished available anywhere. Too reliable.Quote:
