Merc,
Yes you can do archiving at this point. However, the methods are somewhat cumbersome right now.
To send to D-VHS, you need to use JPELL's application (thanks!) which is command line driven and not yet 100% reliable. Others and I have had some issues with the directory and file naming convention that the Hipix and TitanTV creates. To ensure reliability, I've had to rename directories and files to something simpler that does not have things such as brackets and dashes.
The OnAir D-VHS tool has not been useful as it only works with one file at a time. This means 1 minute of programming based on the Hipix splits.
To get from D-VHS back to the PC requires setting up a filter based on research done by Leszek1 (thanks!). It's not really an app but creating a filter using graphedit. It also does not split up the files into 1 minute segments.
The OnAir D-VHS tool can restore from D-VHS in a slick manner including file splits. Unfortunately the naming convention is foreign to Hipix...

I think both JPELL and Leszek1 are working on updates. The seemless integration of D-VHS to the Hipix is on the "to-do" list for the Hipix development team. The future looks bright!
All, please feel free to correct me.
