I am currently woking on my home theater and almost have completed putting my drywall up. I am curious what I should do to the walls after drywall? I have seen several posts regarding GOM fabric and Insulshield, are these the items I should be looking at? I also saw some info on putting the insulshield on part of the walls, and something else on the rest? Basically my monitor is a 65" toshiba RPTV, and I have Def Tech speakers L/R/C/LR/RR. Any help that I can get in making this important decision would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Do some searches on "GOM", "Insulshield", "Furring/firring". You should find plenty of threads with detailed information.

In a nutshell:

Front wall cover with 1" insulshield.

Side/Rear walls cover with 1" insulshield to sitting ear height. Polyester batting above that to ceiling.

Once Insulshield and batting are in place, staple GOM fabric to furring strips to cover. Hide staples with vertical columns, horizontal crown, chair, and baseboard molding.
