Hi all;

I've just downloaded yxy to use with my pj but i do not really understand how to set the surface i'ld like to display(for example ,just the image of a2.35 movie in a 16.9 screen or on my 4.3 monitor to test )...

I've tryed and i allways have black bars top and bottom plus small ones on sides....

Could somebody send me it's setting files via email please?

I may be misunderstanding you question, but:


You cannot get rid of the top and bottom black bars when you are viewing a 2.35:1 movie on an 4:3 or 16x9 display without chopping off the sides of the picture. It that is your goal, you are asking members of a forum that advocates OAR and generally disapproves of what you are trying to do. I suggest you do a search for OAR in this forum.

What DVD playback software are you using? I think your problem may be that you have "lock aspect ratio" selected in the player. This will prevent YXY from stretching your image beyond the set aspect ratio, thus not being able to stretch a 2.35x1 movie to fill a 16:9 screen.

My goal is (as alan explained in an old thread of 6/04/2000: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...ctor+read+this )

to use the tube raster to project just the image and not loosing lines projecting black bars from 2.35 materials .
