Hi all,

i've a Z2 and a philips 963 in component progressive. The image is so wonderful, but I've a problem:eek:n the faces, on the backgrounds i see a lot of vertical lines (every 1cm about) clearer or darker than the image...isn't vertical banding I think...How can I solve the problem??anyone knows? When there are panning or movements the little vertical bands remain there...is the sensation that someone scratched the screen!!but my frame screen is perfect....boh!

please, let's try to solve this problem (I know than someone has the same problem of mine in this forum)

i've firmware .103 and my valors in the service are 13-87 14-91 15-89

in the factory the 14 is in 2.

What makes you think it isn't VB ? Why don't YOU attempt to solve the problem by adjusting the values (that you've obviously read about) & see if it dissappears ?

Sounds like VB to me. I would try a few adjustments to see if has any effect on the bands, err... whatever you'd like to call them... ;)

i've already triesd to change the values of the service (13-14-15) and the factory (14) but nothing changes...when I change the values too much appears vertical banding (lines of the same colurs every 12 cm about), but what i'm speaking about isn't this kind of problem..they are very near thin lines, and every line has a different color...the image seems scretched..the colors are omogene!!

You may have some panel misalignment that is causing the 'appearance' of vertical-banding type symptoms. Download the Nokia monitor test and check the convergence. If this is the case, the only thing you can do is send it in for repair. I will say that I have a 'slight' misconvergence (about 1 pixel) and it is definitely not noticeable during normal viewing.

My 2HD had the same problem and I sent it back to Boxlight for repair. None of the Service menu values would change it one bit. Yes, what you are seeing is VB. Mine was so bad that on a scene like fog, the VB was very prominent.
