Is it safe to just leave a Z2 in stanby mode rather than turning it on and off each time you want to watch a movie?

Actually I meant Standby like when you leave it without signal for more than 5 minutes and it goes into the blinking light mode but the lamp seems to be off, do you know if this is a safe state to leave the projector in, so that theoretically it would come back on as soon as you fed signal back in?

If you have to press the power button to turn the Z2 back on... then I'd guess the PJ is powering itself down, and that's _PROBABLY_ OK. You could also check your lamp hours, and see if they're going up by 24 hours/day.

In the manual on page 18, in the notes on the bottom of the page, it says: "Be sure to turn off the projector by pressing the POWER ON-OFF button on the top control or on the remote control after use." (caps per manual, I didn't add them)

I use the button, and turn it off.

Thank you. I kinda guessed that, but just figured I'd check with some of the experts. I appreciate the feedback.
