Hi,

About twice a week, when

I go to Power off my Z2 with the remote, it will not turn off.

Then, I try to Power off with the Power button on the

projector itself and it will still not turn off.

Then I have to pull the plug from the outlet which can't

be too good for the bulb. Has anyone else seen this problem?

(I got my Z2 in Aug 04. I use it for HDTV viewing most evenings for

about 2 hours and weekends for DVDs. Also, I do have it hooked up to a Panamax 5100 Power Center for surge

protection which may be relevant to the problem. I haven't tried taking

the power center out of the equation yet.)

I have had the same intermittent problem since I added a HD cable box via component to my HTPC into DVI. It happens whenever I switch inputs.

DON'T PULL THE PLUG!!! You'll kill your bulb. Get a pen and press the recessed "reset" button on the back panel. It won't erase your settings or anything. Then you'll get the controls on the unit working again. I have resigned myself to doing the same thing, because I don't think it's a catastrophic problem that I don't want to send in my projector for.

yeah, push the reset button. I had this happen to me once way back when I first got the pj last year. It never happened again while I owned it and the guy I sold it to hasn't had it happen to him.
