A friend of mine just got a Fujitsu 50" plasma set and also the Zenith 420 tuner. Does anyone out there know if you explicitly set the Zenith set to 720p out versus the 1080i out for use with a plasma? What's the initial default setting on the Zenith unit? Thanks.

I suggest he try both settings and see which looks best.
I use my 420 with a Hitachi plasma and set it to 1080i and that looks best.
ABC at 720p and FOX at 480p are scaled by the 420 and it seems to do well.

I set my 520 to convert everything to 1080i into my P50. Some
people will switch to 720p if watching ABC HD.
