Well I changed my mind big time, although I had thought that the 720 p setting for the DTV 1080 looked better on the HD channels, the scaling to 1080I is WAY much more clean of Jaggies when fed to the AVM on regular DTV 480i channels.


What a difference....

I suppose this makes sense. The Zenith does a good job of deinterlacing, but it's not up to the level of the Fujitsu AVM. By setting the Zenith output to 1080i, it's scaling the 480i material, but not deinterlacing it; the deinterlacing is left to the Fujitsu. At 720p, the Zenith is both deinterlacing and scaling (although the Fujitsu still needs to scale to get to 1366x768).
