The Zenith dvb318 thread is getting huge and so since I have specific issue related to the image cropping with certain pj's, I figured it was okay to start a new one.
Okay, just got a new zenith dvb318 from Gochnaur and the image is quite good.
However, I had the right edge cropping issue previously reported in this thread using my Sanyo Z1 projector. I entered the service menu (menu +input for five seconds) and adjusted number 330 from 14 to 30. This is an adequate fix but it seems like the image is now stretched horizontally just a bit so everyone looks a bit wider than normal, (this seems very slight).
But I have encountered a new cropping problem that I haven't seen reported yet. (Actually, one person reported the same problem today with their X1). When viewing in 1080i mode, dvd menus and start up screen are pefectly formatted to my screen , however, as soon as the movie starts, the movie is clipped on the bottom. On my 72 inch screen the cropping is about an inch tall evenly on the bottom from left to right. I've tried using using service menu item 329, but unfortunatly, it doesn't work. Although the image can be stretched out vertically, the film image is stretched underneath the black image (i.e. the black area does not move). Has anyone seen this on their Z1 and has anyone got service menu tweak that could help. Thanks.
