I know some let you adjust the volume separately. Was their a particular model you were curious about?

The majority of 7.1 AVRs selling for $600 and higher permits the L/R back surround amplifiers to be used for Zone II while 5.1 is being played in the main room... And yes there is a separate volume control for Zone II, however note that for Zone II the source usually must be analog..
