I just moved to an Acer H6510BD with a zoom ratio of 1.3, from an Acer H7531D with a zoom ratio of 1.2.

Throw distance is about 17 feet from the original location of the ceiling mount, onto about 110" screen. I was thinking this new projector was going to give me more flexibility, but I'm finding that on its lowest zoom setting I will have to relocate the projector mount forward a few feet in order not to overscan the screen.

Does this sound right to everyone? I'm just trying to make sure I didn't miss anything before I commit the move.

Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, found my unfortunate answer here: http://www.projectorcentral.com/Acer-H7531D-projection-calculator-pro.htm

I had to move the mount about 3 feet forward. Live and learn!

Just had to do the same thing except the other way around (move back). I noticed the cool throw distance calculator on the manufacturer's site afterwords. Yep. Won't do that again.
