Zoomplayer support DF files that have the same name as the actual movie file. In this df file, I can start an external program (like a vbscript) before the actual movie file in the playlist starts to play.
I use this functionality to run a script to send a home automation command to dim the lights.
However, zoomplayer is limited in the newer HD formats and blu-ray support.
Do other player exists with the functionality of executing scripts somehow before the file in the playlist starts?
