ZoomPlayer, DirectVobSub, major problems

I'm having major problems getting external subtitles to work with ZoomPlayer. I have copied Alien Resurrection to a folder on the HD using SmartRipper. Then I used SubRip 1.17.1 to create an SRT file.


First problem is, how do I get ZoomPlayer to automatically pick up the SRT file when I play the DVD from a directory?


Second problem is that the subtitles are out of sync with the movie.


Third problem is that the subtitles seem to get even more out of sync if I pause the movie or jump to a new chapter.


Fourth problem is that the subtitles are displayed on top of eachother (3-4 lines at once) or they are displayed without delay one after the other.


WTF? I don't even know where to begin. Help!
