If you’re attending T.H.E. Show Newport on Saturday, May 30, join Scott Wilkinson and some industry luminaries for an informal gathering.
The Home Entertainment (T.H.E.) Show is in full swing, with record attendance by AV enthusiasts from all over Southern California and beyond. This year, the popular event marks its fifth anniversary at a new venue: the Hotel Irvine, 17900 Jamboree Rd, Irvine, CA 92614. Sponsored by the Los Angeles and Orange County Audio Society, this is mostly a 2-channel audio show, with exhibitors playing tracks on their finest gear. Also featured will be LP, CD, and other product vendors, seminars, live musical performances, a car show, gourmet food trucks, and a wine and cigar show. Ah, the good life!
Will you be there? I will, and I think it’s a great opportunity for an informal AVS Forum get-together. So let’s gather at the picnic tables in the Backyard area next to the Headphonium on Saturday, May 30, at 6:00 PM when the show closes for the day. I’ve invited several industry luminaries to join us; those who have said they will include Andrew Jones and Chris Walker from ELAC and Tom Norton from Sound & Vision, and there will likely be others I’m sure you’d love to meet. I hope to see you there!
The AVS Forum gathering will take place on Saturday, May 30, at 6:00 PM in the area identified as The Lawn in this map, near the Pavilion, where the Headphonium is located.
