Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now available on-demand and soon to ship on Blu-ray. While movies are a great way to enjoy the Star Wars universe, so are video games. There is certainly no shortage of Star Wars themed games to choose from, especially if you include legacy titles.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019, PC, PS4, Xbox One) – Released November 15, 2019, this third person action adventure puts you in the world and timeline leading up to the original Star Wars (episode IV: A New Hope). You will be using a lightsaber quite a bit as you fight to survive and attempt to rebuild the Jedi Order. If you want to play the latest, greatest Star Wars game, this is it!
Luckily, one of the newest Star Wars titles is also one of the best. The game garnered favorable reviews, including a score of 9.0/10 from IGN. com, 8.0/10 from Gamespot and 4 out of 5 stars from GamesRadar+.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017, PC, PS4, Xbox One) – This action shooter is the fourth Battlefront title and a sequel to the 2015 reboot. It puts the player inside highly detailed environments that have the aesthetic of the “original” Start Wars, in terms of vehicles and characters.
Players get to control several recognizable characters like Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren. There is also an arcade mode and post-launch content is available.
After initially being panned for its implementation of micro-transactions, EA fixed the issues with Star Wars Battlefront 2. IGN’s final score for the game is 8.8/10 (up from 6.5/10) and GamesRadar+ gave it 4/5 stars.
Star Wars: The Old Republic (2011, PC) – Launched in 2011, SWTOR is a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) that’s stood the test of time and is still online a decade later and still expanding and evolving.
This game takes place in a timeline 3600 years earlier that the familiar films. Gameplay consists of joining either the Galactic Empire or the Sith Empire and players. Gameplay involves a variety of styles and character advance by battling enemies, taking on missions and exploration.
If you seek a Star Wars experience that basically never ends, SWOTR could be for you.
Star Wars Battlefront (2015, PC, PS4, Xbox One) – This reboot of Star Wars Battlefront is a notable action shooter because it was the first major game to feature Dolby Atmos sound, which complemented its high-quality graphics. It’s reviews are not quite as favorable as its direct SQL, however it is a well reviewed game that offers an authentic Star Wars experience with realistic visuals.
