Samsung Unveils M9500 UHD Blu-ray Player Ahead of CES 2017

Samsung M9500 UHD Blu-ray Player

CES 2017 is fast approaching and the show is sure to feature a wide variety of new AV products. Today, Samsung announced that it will unleash a new UHD Blu-ray player, the M9500. Although detailed specs and pricing are not yet available, this new player will offer features such as Bluetooth wireless audio streaming, which when used with a new Private Cinema mode, will send TV audio to Bluetooth headphones.

The company promises the new player will provide an optimal UHD HDR viewing experience. The player will automatically adjust TV video and audio settings based on source content, to provide the most optimal viewing experience possible with support for HDR video, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X.

Notably, the photo provided with the press release shows that this player has a front panel display, a useful feature that the Samsung’s current K8500 UHD Blu-ray player lacks.

Additional features include the ability to watch Blu-ray titles on mobile devices, and to view 360-degree photos and videos captured and stored on mobile devices using the player. The M9500 also features Samsung Smart Remote integration, so if you own a compatible Samsung TV you only need one remote to control both devices.

I wish I had more info to offer, but the company is saving the details for the show. I’m looking forward to checking out the M9500 UHD Blu-ray player during CES 2017 in Las Vegas, which starts next week.
