4K splitter needed (1-in, 2-out) Please help

i’m in need of a good 4K hdmi splitter (1-in, 2-out) that will not degrade the 4K video in any way, and on the other output pass lossless audio to my older onkyo 605 receiver.

Setup desired:
ps5 to splitter, then from splitter to tv and receiver.

this would get the 4k to tv and the hi-res audio (dolby trueHD, DTSHDMA, etc) to my receiver without any loss in quality in either output.

my older onkyo receiver can’t pass thru 4K signal to tv, so that’s why i’m wanting to do this.

any suggestions appreciated. it’s not in the budget to invest in a new receiver at this time.

Same situation here with my first gen Emotiva XMC-1. I actually have 2 Orei UHD-PRO104 1x4 units (amazon) in my setup. One is used to split 1080p cable to use with other audio sources in the XMC, and the other is used to split 4K from a Roku to the TV and projector.

Both work great and it passes 4K perfectly as best I can tell. It also has 1080p downscaling a good EDID solution where you can give the #1 output priority. In my case that goes to the processor so streamers understand the audio capabilities are higher than the TV/projector. In that situation you may have to force 4K video in your source but I have found/confirmed that 4K/60 along with full surround works perfectly on the current Roku, Firestick, and Chromecast devices. Haven't tried any other sources.

They also make a 1x2 with the same specs as the 1x4: UHD-PRO102

Also, in your case and mine I think the downscaling feature is probably necessary, otherwise I think the splitter would see that your receiver is 1080p only (highest common capability between the 2 output devices) and therefore may not accept a 4K input? Not 100% sure on that, but I'd try that UHD-PRO102 before anything else. It costs less than dinner.

This splitter has some enthusiastic recommendations on the HDR/Wide Color Gamut thread. EZCOO 4k HDMI splitter. https://www.amazon.com/Splitter-l-b-y-Vision-Atmos-Scaler/dp/B07VP37KMB/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1YSUUWANV5999&keywords=ezcoo+4k+hdmi+splitter&qid=1662823738&s=electronics&sprefix=ezcoo+4k+hdmi+splitter,electronics,124&sr=1-3

Thank you, been looking for a cheaper alternative to get Atmos and 1080p

Ended up buying the EZCOO suggested above, and it works great! 4K to TV and lossless hi-res audio to my older non 4k receiver.

Big lipsync issue when selecting bitstream on the PS5, but once I set it to Linear PCM instead, and tweaked the AV/Sync setting on my Onkyo receiver I’m back in business.

(The AV/Sync setting on my Onkyo wasn’t “broad” enough to eradicate the lipsync issue when bitstreaming.)

Thanks !!!
