So I am getting a new hisense 65 inch u8g delivered tomorrow.
I was doing some pre-planning and noticed the on-line instructions talked about using spacers if wall mounting.
I've never used spacers wall mounting in the past.
I understand you would need them if the tv is not flat, but I had assumed these days the panel would 99.9% be designed flat in vera area for wall mounts.
Now I'm wondering if I need to go get some hardware even if it looks flat on the back.
This is my current tv I'm replacing.

I use spacers with my Sony x900E. It is so you don't thread the screw in too far to damage the tv. What I did was hand threaded the screw into the hole with the bracket on until it bottomed out. Then I used whatever spacer that was needed to take up the space left.

Ya, I totally understand the depth. It was just the spacer between the TV and bracket I thought was odd they required. I assumed they would design TV's to accept a flat bracket between the mounts. I thought maybe they were asking for spacers that was the bracket was not pushing against the back of the TV.
I certainly understand it is critical to not drive the screw out the back of the threads (assuming it is a through hole and not blind)
