Need to relocate Center speaker

So I got a new TV and my center channel speaker is now too tall to place in front the tv. TV and center speaker is on a stand so I can't use a speaker stand in front the tv; And a speaker stand at the back would have to be really tall, which I have yet to see a stand that tall (at least 58" to clear tv+ tv stand). So the question is what options do I have? I came across this

But my concern is I don't know how well that distributes the weight of the speaker. I have a DLP tv and although the top of the TV looks sturdy, I simply don't know if the weight of the center speaker will be too heavy for it. Thoughts or ideas are welcomed.

Can you not just install a shelf on the wall? Or is the TV not against the wall?

It would be helpful to post the brand & model of speaker. I would not use the top of a DLP TV to hold anything unless your speaker is very small. The DLP "box" is really not designed to support any weight; at least I would not put anything on top of my 61" DLP.

I would go with a wall shelf. What is the TV sitting on? Can you place the speaker in the TV stand? Whatever you decide, make sure that the speaker is pointed towards ear level at your main sitting position, which usually means tilting the speaker up (if below the TV) or down (if above).

Check this site out for other possible options (I did not check for your application, but they are a good company): http://www.standsandmounts.com/
