RTI Control is a home automation company based out of Shakopee, Minnesota. They are comparable to better known brands such as Control4 and Crestron in that they use a remote/base station model and can scale from a single room to whole house automation, and are dealer/integrator programmed. They don't seem to get nearly as much publicity on AVS, so figure I'd start a thread to make more aware. They were recently acquired by AVPro, which also owns Audiocontrol and BulletTrain Cable.

RTI just revamped their remote lineup, and now offers the ISR-4 and ISR-2 (among other control interfaces

I own the ISR-4, and here are a few pics of what it can look like

I entered the dealer side of things last year, and picked RTI as my control line since I've had good experience with them as an end use: prior to landing on RTI, I had used Logitech Harmony, NEEO, URC CCP and Control4. In my single room setup, RTI has provided the most bullet proof, headache free experience for my non-av inclined family.

Hopefully this sparks more interest in RTI, and other dealers can chime in with more info.

I have a question about how to control the Hue lights in our theater using our RTI XP-3 and ISR-4. I have the Hue driver installed, and have added each of the lights into the Room On macro:

I want the light strips to turn blue and dim

I'd like to get this screen on my RTI ISR-4 remote when using my nVidia Shield Pro with Zank. This implies pulling context data about the media being played from the app running on my Shield. Possible?

I haven't seen a driver that will pull this data from a shield before, android is constantly changing the API on these as well so its always a game of cat and mouse on the control side.

I totally get that you'd need the design software.. and maybe I misunderstood your post. Are you implying that they're going towards an unlocked product that no longer requires dealer support? I assume they would still sell the hardware unlocked and provide the software for free, or maybe the software with a cost as well?

I'm teaching myself ID 11, and have started by defining my requirements via a document here (I'm a software product manager for a large tech company, so this was the natural first step for me). The document is here.

Below is my first pass at a home screen for my remote

I'm starting to dig into the open source Home Assistant framework to see if I can use it to pull contextual information above a given title being played from the app which is playing it on my nVidia Shield Pro. I'm also digging into whether ReelGood may provide part of the solution to this.
