I never used to have this problem when I had an ACTUAL source box from Direct TV, but now that most things have gone the way of streaming, I'm running into an issue at a friend's house. Here's the details:
3 smart TV's mounted in the downstairs bar/man cave area, one Sony receiver(I don't have the model number, offhand).
ISSUE 1: For the last UFC fights, he was hoping to have all 3 TV's duplicated, in sync. TV 1 is the source TV, using Youtube TV. TV's 2 & 3 to be used as mirrored screens. How do I go about daisy-chaining the video from TV1 to TV's 2&3? I assumed I could go from HDMI-ARC from TV1 to TV2(HDMI in) and the same from TV2 to TV3? Seems like a it could theoretically work, but maybe I'm going about it all wrong. Perhaps going from HDMI-ARC on TV1 to an HDMI splitter would achieve what I'm after? I'm not sure how that would work, considering YouTube TV is an app on the TV, and not coming from another source.
ISSUE 2: He'd like to have the sound pushed through his Sony receiver, because he has in-ceiling speakers. Would this need to come from TV1 via HDMI, or could I use an HDMI from TV3, which is closer to the receiver? I could probably swap TV1 and TV3's location to make that part of it easier. Just trying to figure out how to make it all play nicely together.
