Can audio only (5 channels) exit a Win 10 desk top pc through HDMI 2.0, entre a receiver with 4k HDCP 2.2:and play through the receiver speakers? All PC video to exit through VGA to the monitor

Previously posted asking if PC audio can play with a Denon X1500H via HDMI and the replies is it can. I did not include the PC would be hdmi 2,0 and the receiver 4K HDCP 2.2 I read 2.2 is not backwards compatible but only referenced video. Don't want to assume what i want will work, Want to know before buying the video-hdmi card and having it installed.

The pc audio player is Foobar with a mixer that can make pseudo multi channel audio from stereo while playing. The mixer has more capabilities and easier function selection then the receiver.

The short answer is yes. HDCP (video copy protection) + HDMI (features and bandwidth) are 2 different things that work together for video content.
Generally speaking HDCP 2.2 (4K video copy protection) and HDMI 2.0 (bandwidth for 4K video) go together.
In your case the video card will have the same combination as the Denon. There should be no issues in connectivity, and you'll just have to select a sound format from the PC that the Denon can deal with.
