Splitting RCA for two subwoofers - help

So I’m trying to split my subwoofer out signal to be able to run two subwoofers. I’m having trouble as anytime I hook up a splitter to my amp and connect, I get horrible feedback. I purchased a splitter from monoprice and am using high quality subwoofer rca cables.

Any advice or any links to good splitters? The monoprice one was like 1.50 but I can’t find any nicer splitters.

Any other thoughts on what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks

Sorry, using a Denon AVR 1709 (few years old, not the latest and greatest), using the LFE output, amp only have one subwoofer output.

So, i'm trying to split that to run 1 Definitive Tech Prosub 1000 and 1 Def Tech Prosub 800, both through LFE and each has a single LFE input.

When i split at the amp, it likes to give large amount of feedback some of the time, if it lay things just right, it works, but don't want to worry about the feedback popping up.

This is just for a basement setup (prosound 1000s) for my kids xbox and for the kid room... but have this extra prosound 800 laying around so thought itd be fun to hook up. The room kicks already with the prosub 1000 ( i know they dont get any love around here).

Sounds like it could be a problem with the splitter (internal damage to the wire or connector). If you haven't already done so, I'd try to rule out the subs and the cables by:
- hooking up one sub with one cable to the AVR;
- hooking up the same sub with the other cable to the AVR;
- repeating the previous two steps with the other sub.

If it is the splitter, any half-decent replacement will do. I'll do a quick google to see what I can find.

AmazonBasics products are reportedly of good quality:

I use Y splitters (from Radio Shack). Never any hum.

From my avr subwoofer out, I split the line in three. One to left subwoofer, one to right subwoofer, one to amp (which drives my twin Buttkickers).

My subwoofers don't care if they have just one rca in or two. In my case, the left subwoofer gets a left and right in. My right subwoofer only gets a right in. My amp (for the Buttkicker) also only gets a right in.
