As Samsung refuses to support Dolby vision, I want to ensure that I can enjoy hdr10+ dynamic content.

Hardware:
-Samsung QLED NEO 75qn90a (2021) has a gaming hdmi 2.1 port but the other 3 ports including the eARC are hdmi 2.0, i assume b spec. Samsung says tv is HDR10+ certified. Can I assume on all ports?
-Source is Apple TV 2022 which now supports hdr10+ content.
-AVR is Yamaha TSR-7850 (2018) which specs say (HDCP 2.3, HDR10 / Dolby Vision / HLG and BT.2020 compatible)

I’ve read HDR10+ is supported on the hdmi 2.0b spec. Any way to know if my hardware is capable? Lets say I replace my AVR or direct wire ATV to the tv’s non gaming port, will HDR10+ work?

Yes, you should be able to connect your Apple TV box directly to your TV. As long as you're using eARC on both your TV and AVR, and using a decent HDMI 2.1 Ultra Certified cable, you should be just fine. I only have HDMI 2.0b and it fully supports HDR10+. I'm sure others will be able to give you some advice as well. Good luck.

Where are you streaming DTS content?

“The Samsung QN90A supports passthrough for Dolby audio formats, including Dolby Atmos via TrueHD through eARC. However, it doesn't support any DTS passthrough, which is disappointing as many Blu-rays use this format.” Quote from rtings

Many many 4K blu-rays have dtsx which will fall back to lossy Dolby digital+ which is what happens in my case. Sometimes they don’t have height channels due to this so I loose atmos.
