How come a HDMI switch doesn't work when it's plugged in to a cable box.

I want to watch cable and divide it on two TVs. I tried a 2X1 Enhanced Powered HDMI Switcher w/ Remote from monoprice.com, but it doesn't seem to work. What could be the problem? Should I just use a HDMI splitter? Would that work? Many thanks to all that helped =)

well, you are trying to use a switcher as a splitter, so no, that won't work...


you need something like this ...
