Hi

I have two 5040s hardwired to a linksys router/wireless switch.

I can watch shows on other units for the first half day or so of a boot. After the boxes have been on for more than that (the next day or so), they can't talk to eachother anymore. Rebooting one of them brings one or both back for another 6 or so hours.

any suggestions? For now, i just reboot the replays when i'm about to watch something in a diff. room..

p.s. Is there a better way of rebooting a replay than just holding the power-button?

thanks!

-BUMP- Looking for like answer:

All of a sudden my 5040 keeps changing IP addresses...

And what is strange is "IF' I try to use MANUAL IP settings "IVS TESTER" can not find my RTV at all!?!

I have to keep re-booting my RTV?!

Why!?!

replays on manual tend to do wierd things, mainly because the OS still requests a DHCP address during boot, before the replay software even starts. your router might not be happy at this situation, so it is best to just use DHCP entirely, and have your router assign a static address via the MAC if it is capable of doing this.

Actually it's best to shut off DHCP entirely...
